What kindness really looks like

Dear Friends,

What is kindness?

It is community raising $1345 yesterday for Ruby's Rainbow and the 321 Pledge to help Down Syndrome individuals achieve their dreams of higher education.

Today, March 21st, is World Down Syndrome Day because individuals with down syndrome have three copies of the 21st chromosome (3/21)!

It is promising to create an inclusive, supportive, and loving environment for everyone to be accepted regardless of our differences.

Watch this virtual #WeAllCan Flash Mob by the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area:

It is classmates, teachers, friends, and family standing by our very own Cassidy to help her be brave enough to dance on camera for the first time.

(PS: Adult Small and Youth Large "Life is a Dance" sweaters are SOLD OUT!)

It is Cassidy's Grandma Patricia joining in on Zoom, and Dad Jason doing the last dance with all his beautiful daughters (and woman) in his life.

Did you miss Saturday's class?  All live classes are recorded for 2 days afterwards in our "On-Demand" page so you can take classes at your own convenience!

It is Iggy the Eagle (even wearing a mask) staying "Grateful" and leading the Glenwood students in a morning assembly dance.

Thank you Kathy and Ashley for coordinating such a special surprise for the kids!

It is Blake making the sweetest thank you video for choreographing his song request to "Lottery (Renegade)" which we taught this week.

Did you know all our dances are broken down into tutorials so you can learn them at your own pace for free on YouTube?

It is each time you make your own health a priority and exercise to get your heart stronger and happier.

We have TRX, HIIT, Bootcamp, Yin Yoga, Power Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Yogaburn, and 8x8 short series (8 minutes for 8 days) on-demand, or join us on Zoom or in-person for Stop Drop And Dance™ Tu/Th/Sa 9:30am!

It is helping my girls and others that face racism by taking real action to stop hate, such as these specific AAPI ideas shared by Katherine and Seran:

Donate:
Stop AAPI Hate

Get Educated:
Stop AAPI Hate National Report

Speaking Up:
I Hollaback
My Unwomen Bystander

Lesson Plans:
NY Times: Lesson of the Day: A Rise in Attacks on Asian-Americans
PBS Learning: Asian Americans

What is kindness?

It is the golden rule: treat others the way you want to be treated.

It is YOU
taking the time to open this email and believing in the power with grace.

It is YOU,
knowing that we can be bruised and brave, broken and beautiful, fallen and grateful.

It is YOU,
opening your eyes and your arms to anyone who is different from you.

It is YOU,
leading by example through your actions and your words.

It is YOU,
that will change the world for the better.

Love,
Grace
