Dear Friends,
"Love is the humblest yet the most powerful force that the human being has."
- Mahatma Gandhi
This past Saturday, we celebrated Karin Conn's "Born-in-61" 61st birthday with birthday cake, fruit, and even signing messages of love on the Gandhimobile! Thank you to all the new and old friends who joined us in "The Garage" and virtually on Zoom...
And helped to raise $1633 for Vivalon!
Vivalon helps Marin County’s older adults and vulnerable residents thrive through the power of human connection with rides, meals, classes, care, advice and more.

Birthdays At the Elks!
Last week we enjoyed the change of scenery and danced outdoors at the Elks in San Rafael! (Only a one week rental).
This week we are back to our regular location on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30am at UU Marin!
On Tuesday, we celebrated Laika Chow, who only recently joined our classes a few months ago, but has been coming twice a week since then! She danced up front the whole hour to her favorite songs! Happy Birthday Laika!

Remember, kids are FREE with a dancing parent!
Then on Thursday, we dressed up in Warriors Gear to get hyped for Game 6 of the NBA Finals, and celebrated a 75 minute dance class with Sara Rainbolt! We had an incredible turnout with tons of kids participating, and we also celebrated Alison Van Dis in the last song (who thought we didn't know it was her birthday!).
Thank you to Sara for baking yummy cookies for everyone!

Celebrations All Around
It sure feels good to be surrounded with celebrations lately (I am sorry if that is not the case for you)!
Have you felt the electric Bay Area energy since the Warriors won the NBA Finals last Thursday? Klay Thompson hung out at the Mill Valley In 'N Out literally right after flying home from Boston on Friday, and Monday, fans lined up on Market Street to attend the Championship parade and see all the players up close!
And last year, Juneteenth became an official federal holiday, but there is something special to actually see that Monday, post offices, libraries, and even the stock market honored and observed Juneteenth for the first time by shutting down work! A baby step to continue conversations and work towards diversity, equity and inclusion for African Americans!
Then there's Summer Solstice TODAY and did you know it is International Yoga Day too?

"Family is not an important thing. It's everything."
- Michael J Fox
Happy Belated Father's Day to all the dads out there! I am so grateful to spend this first week of summer vacation together with my parents and sister's family, who are visiting Marin this week!
In addition to celebrating my dad, my husband, and my brother-in-law, we celebrated my parents' 51st wedding anniversary, my 14th wedding anniversary with my husband, and we will also be attending my husband's sister's wedding this coming Saturday (therefore, class is cancelled on June 25th).
"Be happy in the moment, that's enough.
Each moment is all we need, not more."
- Mother Teresa
Cherish all the blessings, big and small!
Hope you have a wonderful week and Summer Solstice!
Love,
Grace
