Best Day Ever

This past week, we introduced a few new dances to our repertoire, included one song called, "Best Day Ever," by Sly and the Family Stallone.

The title alone says it all and isn't it a wonderful idea to make TODAY the best day ever?  If that were the case, then tomorrow will be better than today, and the day after that, even better!

What if we lived with the idea that even though we cannot control circumstances and unfortunate situations that are placed on us, we DO have the power to control our actions, our outlook and our mindset NOW.  It means forgiving, it means letting go, it means learning, it means growing, and it means constantly finding gratitude in the smallest blessings that we often overlook.

There is a Cherokee fable that describes two wolves battling in the heart of every human.

One is darkness, representing hate, anger, resentment and guilt.

The other is light, representing love, beauty, peace and empathy.

A young boy asks his grandfather which wolf would win.

"Whichever one you feed."

Thank you to Lisa Butcher for sharing the quote above with us.  Let's feed the wolf craving for light and commit to making today your best day ever.

Love,
Grace
