Taking a Two Week Summer Break!

June 14, 2026

June 14, 2026

Dear Friends,

See You On June 30th!

My family and I are en route to Osaka and Fukuoka for our much needed getaway from working, from thinking, and from responsibilities like cooking and cleaning (woohoo!).

Please reach out to one another or through our Whats App Social Group to go hiking, meet up for a meal, or attend some fun events together!  Remember that all our previously-live classes from the past month are recorded and available on-demand if you want to keep exercising these two weeks (free for members on our dashboard or purchase classes a-la-carte on the website).

A special goodbye goes out to Veronique Besfamille, who has been a regular member of our community for the past 2 years.

She let us know last week that her family unexpectedly decided to move to Santa Rosa, which means she will no longer be able to come to classes in-person.  We will really miss our sweet Argentinian, Spanish, and French dancer and we hope you will Zoom in from time to time Veronique!  Thank you to Leslie Dinham for sharing the coolest (get it?) fan she found while visiting Barcelona a few weeks ago!

Never Stop Dancing!

We Raised $966!

Thank you for helping to raise $966 towards Karin Conn’s Birthday Benefit for Believe Music Heals, a not-for-profit organization founded by Essence Goldman, whose mission is “dedicated to bringing healing and hope through music to those who need it most.”

On Saturday morning, all the dancers came in Vegas inspired outfits to celebrate Karin’s birthday with a 60 minute Stop Drop and Dance class! Thank you to everyone who was able to join in-person or on Zoom!

We had the pleasure of hearing Karin speak about the Believe Music Heals organization and the impact it has made so far.

Karin also shared about the personalized swag she made just for her birthday class theme:

Casino poker chips personalized with “Stop Drop and Dance” on one side and “Prayer… This Sh!t Works” on the other side (because Karin has been attending our every other Tuesday prayer group after class!).

And in true Vegas style, we had not one, not two, but three different people unexpectedly serenade Karin! First was Momo, a woman who doesn’t even dance with us but leads another organization in the same building every Saturday morning, then Zoe, who is Karin’s best friend and flew all the way from Vancouver to visit Karin, and finally our very own Marsha Cellar sang “You Are My Sunshine” on the microphone to Karin!Karin is fun, kindness, truth, honesty, and love all wrapped up together. She turns 65 this year but she has the energy and spirit of a 25 year old!

Viva Karin!

GRATEFUL.

KINDNESS.

Last Tuesday, we celebrated Kristen Sperling’s birthday with a 65 minute Stop Drop and Dance class, and her theme was for dancers to wear a shirt with an inspirational statement on it! The list above shows what some of our dancers’ shirts said!

Kristen shared at the beginning of class that she was nervous about dancing up in front of everyone, but look at her go in our video highlight reel!

Kristen, thank you for being BRAVE and letting us dance with you, and thank you also to Megan Mariani for joining Kristen for the first time up front for “Better When I’m Dancing!"  Erin Meyers once again set up a birthday sign in the background, and all of you who showed up for Kristen’s birthday are much appreciated!

Keep shining your light and love Kristen!

Congratulations Graduates!

It has been nonstop in the best way this entire week, from end-of-the-year parties to closing day assemblies to graduation ceremonies to graduation parties!  My emotions have been all over the place and I am still processing this milestone of having an 8th grade graduate!

How lucky am I to have my extraordinary daughter?

She blows me away with her kindness and care as shown to her Kindergarten buddy, with her courage and bravery to sing a solo at the graduation ceremony, with her intelligence and work ethic as shown on her report cards and teacher comments, with her beauty and maturity as she transformed into a young woman in her 3 beautiful dresses this week, and with her determination and grit which I know she will carry on to high school and beyond…

Congratulations to my baby girl and I know many of you are in the same boat, whether it is celebrating a preschool, 5th grade, 8th grade, 12th grade, university, or higher education promotion!  Everyone says time flies by, and there's no quicker way to measure time than through the growth of our children.

How lucky are we?

Have a wonderful start of summer!
