Last week on vacation, my family and I watched the movie, "Vivo," featuring original songs by the talented Lin-Manuel Miranda. He's most famous for creating, "Hamilton," but other big hits include "In The Heights" and"Moana." He writes the plays, he composes the music, he develops the lyrics, he even acts... Needless to say, I'm a huge fan.
There's a song in Vivo that I'm choreographing to (especially because the remix is with Missy Elliott), and it's called "My Own Drum (Remix)." It's a kids cartoon movie, but sometimes those songs have the most heart and meaning, like our Stop Drop And Dance favorites, "Can't Stop The Feeling" from Trolls, or "Broken and Beautiful" from Ugly Dolls.
So now, there's "My Own Drum" by Vivo, and it's about YOU. How YOU hear music, how YOU play music, how YOU dance to music. Stop Drop And Dance is about YOU - setting yourself free.

Back to the Original Schedule
Thank you so much to those of you who came over the summer to try out some of our experimental classes in-person! After much consideration, I've decided to go back to the original schedule from the past year and focus on teaching only live Stop Drop and Dance classes (Zoom & in-person Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday 9:30am), and HIIT Camp Wednesdays at 9:30am on Zoom only.
All the other classes such as YogaBURN, Gentle Vinyasa Yoga, TRX, and all the Series Challenges, I plan to keep recording for you on-demand. Let me know if you have any requests for a different format!

"Pick the place with the best ventilation..."
If you haven't seen our new weekday space at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marin, it may be "indoors," but there are 3 walls of windows and doors that we open for ventilation, an HVAC system we can run if the smoke becomes a problem, high ceilings and natural light, plenty of parking spots, plus amazing views! Masks are mandatory indoors, but you can always stand outside of the doors and dance without one!
If being outdoors is a must, you can join us every Saturday at "The Garage" which is covered but has open air sides, and it has plenty of parking and amazing views too! No masks are required Saturdays since it is considered outdoors!
Come join us Tuesday, August 31st at 9:30am for a belated birthday Stop Drop and Dance class for Staci Morris!

From teaching my kids to boogie board for the first time, to eating all day long, to staying off of social media, to building a sand hula girl... it's been an incredible week in paradise with my family.
But now... I'm ready to get back to our routine.
