Dear Friends,

Happy Birthday Lisa & Sarah!

Thank you to everyone who came to class on Saturday in-person or on Zoom to celebrate Lisa Hudson and Sarah Irving's birthdays! Lisa chose the songs for our 60 minute Stop Drop and Dance class and chose the theme, “Wear what brings YOU joy!”

In addition to our regular dancers and Lisa’s besties, Catherine Granville and Shannon Bindler, Ariana Amini, Renee Miller, and Susie Picken joined our class too! Also, even though it was her first class, we were thrilled to find out it was Sarah Irving’s birthday, and she came with her new friends, Kate Oppenheimer, Ashley Valentine, and Tara McDill! Welcome also to Lisa Butcher's friend, Laurence Kahn, and her friend Doreen visiting from Florida!

Regular dancers or new dancers, we welcome you all and we love that you are part of our joyful community!

“To be able to start my birthday off, with this dance and this community, and this much love in my heart, it’s just… there’s nothing better.”

- Lisa Hudson

"Life humbles you. As you grow old, you stop chasing the big things and start valuing the little things. Alone time, enough sleep, a good diet, long walks, and quality time with loved ones. Simplicity becomes the ultimate goal."

I am savoring the final weeks of summer.

There is something so sweet at all stages with my two daughters (and something inevitably challenging).  Right now, at ages 11 and 14, I can let them sleep in during vacation and leave them at home when I teach.  I don't need to keep them enrolled in camps or entertained all day long - they are happy relaxing on the couch with a book, riding bikes, actually having time to do a puzzle, or watching a drama with mama.

Activities, sports, and back-to-school events have started to pick up, but we are cruising 35mph on a 65mph freeway.  I know, very soon, it will feel like 80mph.

Slow down.

Simplify your life.

Savor each precious moment.

Love,

Grace
