Dear Friends,

Join us for a two-night local getaway!

It has been requested over the years for us to have a LOCAL retreat that is drive-able, shorter in length, and more affordable.

We are so excited to announce that we have officially launched a TWO-NIGHT getaway to Cannery Row in Monterey, California from Wednesday, April 29th 4pm to Friday, May 1st noon.  It is a 3 hour drive away (no extra flight costs), it is 3 days and 2 nights (half the length of our previous retreats), and relatively affordable (compared to our international retreats).

PLEASE JOIN US!!!

The itinerary is still being finalized, but the retreat includes:

- 2 night stay in the 4 star Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa

- 5 meals during our retreat (2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 2 dinners)

- Let's Roam Monterey scavenger hunt

- Kelp forest and sea otter kayaking

- Private group room rental at the hotel for our gatherings

- Meditation & Journaling

- Small Group Bonding

- 2 Stop Drop and Dance classes

- 1 Yoga Class

- Core work

- and more!

(transportation or parking not included)

FYI: you can come earlier or stay longer and explore Monterey more including the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Pebble Beach, 17-mile drive, Coastal trails and hikes, etc.  It is a GREAT location!)

As many of you know, our Power With Grace retreats are designed for maximum bonding and interaction with our community to get to know one another more.  It is a rare opportunity to travel and vacation with a wonderful group of women who are genuinely kind, caring, and easy-going.  Unfortunately this retreat is not right for you if you are looking for a typical wellness retreat with a lot of private/solo time.

Early Bird Pricing starts at $1295 each for a shared double bed room (please find your own roommate) or $1595 for a single king bed room.  Prices go up $100 after February 15th!  Reserve your spot with a $500 non-refundable deposit and the remainder of the balance will be due March 15th.

Celebrate Shannon, Bev, and Jen THIS THURSDAY!

We are so excited to throw a TRIPLE birthday Stop Drop and Dance class for the second year in a row this Thursday, January 22nd from 9:30am-10:45am for Shannon Bindler, Beverly Brewster, and Jennifer Lee!  We are making a mash up of all of their favorite songs!

This year, the theme is simply to "Come As You Are" so wear whatever you feel comfortable dancing in!

Hope to see you on Thursday!

Don’t forget that all NEW in-person dancers have a FREE second class redeemable within the next 7 days.  Kids are also always free with a dancing parent!

Happy Birthday Amy Poirier!

What does a sequin top, Minnie Mouse ears, 80’s jumpsuit, colorful blazer, 49ers jersey and Stephen Curry jersey have in common?

For those dancers that showed up to Stop Drop and Dance class on Tuesday morning but missed out reading our the last newsletter, it probably was a confusing display of the most random outfits!

Usually our birthday themes are obvious like a certain color, or genre, but our birthday girl, Amy Poirier, came up with the creative and practical theme:

Wear something you have only worn once!

(And Amy even offered to bring a bottle of champagne or non-alcoholic sparkling juice for anyone that showed up in their wedding dress… fyi no one dared)

Amy picked her favorite songs for a 75 minute long class filled with JOY, LOVE, and GRATITUDE! Thank you to her besties who joined class to support Amy: Hillary Barber, Alison Endemann, Heather DiGiorgio, Danielle Moros, Jacquelyn Cochrane, and her mom Ellyn even zoomed in super early from Hawaii!

Thank you for letting us celebrate you for the FIRST time and happiest birthday Amy!

"We must walk on in the days ahead with an audacious faith in the future."

- Martin Luther King Jr.

This past Saturday, we gathered with Lisa Hudson to celebrate her son, Shayne, who would have turned 22 yesterday.  Our hearts were all even more tender knowing that Lisa also had spent the last month with her terminally ill brother, Joe, in Palm Springs, and Joe eventually transitioned from this world on Tuesday.

Despite the grief and loss in her life, Lisa inspires us all to keep sharing our stories, to surround ourselves with a loving community, and to never stop dancing!

"To have a day where Shayne can be celebrated, and dance, and be joyful, and to invite all these emotions in... is just so special.  Thank you for holding us - me, Shayne, in your heart."

Shayne was known for his famous purple hat that he wore everywhere, so Lisa found the perfect sparkly purple hats to gift to all the dancers who came on Saturday, and the magic of Shayne truly filled up the room with so much light, healing, and joy.

We love you Shayne and Lisa!

So... I sat at the table next to Steph Curry...

Last Wednesday, our good friends that we traveled to Korea with this past summer invited our family to their restaurant in Berkeley called Great China (it's the BEST Chinese food by the way).

Turns out... Steph Curry's agent had made a reservation for Steph, his dad, his brother, and a few others, and our friend knew that my husband was Steph's #1 fan so he sat us at the table right next to them to help block off their private area.

We did not disturb their table at all, but we did sneak in many many glances, and at the end of the night my husband and the owner's son got their jerseys signed.  It was quite the celebrity experience!

"What I tell people is just be the best version of yourself in anything that you do.

You don't have to live anybody else's story. Sometimes people make it seem like you have to have certain prerequisites or a crazy life story in order to be successful in this world, but the truth is you really don't. It doesn't matter where you come from, what you have or don't have, what you lack, what you have too much of.

All you need to have is faith in God, an undying passion for what you do and what you choose to do in this life, and a relentless drive and the will to do whatever it takes to be successful in whatever you put your mind to.

Make sure you live in the moment and work your butt off every single day. I hope I inspire people all around the world to just be themselves, be humble, and be grateful for all the blessings in your life."

- Stephen Curry

Here's to being the best versions of ourselves in everything we do!  Grateful for you!

Love,

Grace
