We reached our FOOD-RAISER goal of 100+ bags!

This past Tuesday, we celebrated the last day of 2020 by collaborating with Pelo Fitness in San Rafael for a Food-Raiser donation event benefitting the SF Marin Food Bank.  We held Strong, Cycle, Yoga, and Stop Drop And Dance classes between 8am-1pm on New Years Eve, and class was free with a full bag of food.  Thank you for helping us surpass our goal of 100 bags and donating over 1500+ pounds of food!  Shout out to the owner of Pelo, Alan, for organizing this successful event!

We raised $2550 for MarinGIFT!

The giving continues!  This past Saturday for our first Stop Drop And Dance class of 2021, we celebrated Sandy's birthday by dancing and donating to her outreach called MarinGIFT, which serves the unsheltered of Marin County.  Her goal was only a few hundred dollars... but your generosity shined through once again.  What a positive start to the year - thank you!

If you've made it to the bottom of this newsletter, thank you. I hope you know that I genuinely care about you and all areas of your health, and this small business of mine has always been rooted in honesty, authenticity, and rawness. I am not a business woman. I am your friend.

And I share what's on my heart.

After our amazing class Saturday, I came home at noon to discover my first baby, my 11-year-old mini-goldendoodle Miya, acting strangely. Loss of balance, confusion, not responding, circling, pressing against the wall, no appetite, shaking, lethargic, and the worst of all was looking into her eyes and seeing a dull glaze.

Her spark was gone.

We've been in the pet ER and her veterinarian's office, and at this point it looks like a combination of vestibular disease and a stroke. I have prednisone to give her for the week and pray she will get better. If you pray, will you pray for my little Miya please? She is the one that greets me everytime I come home, the one that sits under my feet even if I'm working till 3am, the one that saved me through months of bedrest during my first pregnancy, the one that has shown me unconditional love, the one that always reminds me how simple happiness can be.

I desperately need her by my side, and I need her spark back.

All I want to do is lay down next to Miya and hold her. That is all I have been doing for 3 days now and my eyes are so swollen I will need an extra thick layer of eyeliner. But the power with grace is about moving through our emotions and not letting our emotions take over. It's about facing our pain. Facing our struggles. And not becoming stuck. It's about prioritizing our health and making exercise a habit, even when it's the last thing we want to do. It's about community and knowing that you are not alone in what you are dealing with, ever.

Rain or shine.
Happy or sad.
High or low.

Let the power with grace heal you.
Inside and out.

Love,

Grace
