April 25, 2023

Dear Friends,

Humbled to ask for your vote (again)...

Marin Magazine is conducting their annual "Best of the County" survey for 2023 and it would be a huge honor if "The Power With Grace" could be recognized for "Best Fitness Classes!"

Thank you to Lisa Butcher and Jennifer Overaa who both reached out (today) to encourage us to enter!  It's a simple form and you don't have to vote in all categories so it should be super quick!

Please click on the link below to vote and write in "The Power With Grace" under "Best Fitness Classes!"

(see picture for reference courtesy of Lisa!)

Our classes are promoted purely through word of mouth from our community and YOU, so this award would be a much appreciated promotion for our small business!

Thank you so incredibly much for your support!

Better When We're Dancing!

We had the pleasure of celebrating Alison Williams' birthday last Thursday with a 75 minute Stop Drop and Dance class wearing her favorite color, blue!  She was so sweet to bring bracelets and madelines for everyone in class!

Then on Saturday, we continued the celebration for a double birthday class for Gina Daly and Erin Brewer!  We danced another 75 minutes in our hot pink workout clothes and finished with the reminder that we are worthy "2 Be Loved!"

Join us this Saturday, April 30th at 9:30am as we celebrate Jenn Macievich and Heather Davidson with a 75 minute hip hop playlist and our Black "Shine Your Light" tanks!

What are your gratitudes today?

Today I had the opportunity to chaperone my 5th grade daughter's field trip to Agate Beach in Bolinas where they explored and searched for creatures in the tidepools.

I am grateful she wanted me to be there.
I am grateful it was a sunnier day than usual.
I am grateful we found a few crabs and even a leopard shark on the beach.
I am grateful my daughter (and I) did not get carsick on the windy drive.
I am grateful her 5th grade teacher held an actual gratitude circle on the beach at the end of the day before driving back!

Yes we had a wonderful, exciting, different day today!  In those moments, we expect to find many new experiences to be grateful for.

But it's also about finding gratitude in the everyday routine. The normal moments.  All the tiniest things that we take for granted.

I am grateful for our family dinner conversation.
I am grateful for our garage we remodeled during the pandemic.
I am grateful for my hot water pot I use everyday for tea.
I am grateful for my warm robe and pajamas.
I am grateful for you taking the time to read this newsletter every week (thank you friends).

I encourage you to take a moment and express a few gratitudes, right now, whether you just woke up or you are going to bed.  Acknowledge something big and exciting, or acknowledge something tiny but important.  Take 30 seconds to create that grateful heart and have a wonderful rest of your day!

"I don't have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness - it's right in front of me if I'm paying attention and practicing gratitude."
- Brene Brown
