Our November Schedule

November 13, 2023

November 13, 2023

Dear Friends,

Saluting our very own veteran!

We celebrated Veterans Day in our Saturday morning Stop Drop and Dance class by dancing to the song, “Salute” by Little Mix!

Little did we know, as Debby Strenkofsky came up front to dance, she revealed that she is a veteran and served in the US Army from 1977-1980! It's always so fun to learn more and more about our community members!

Thank you to Debby and all the other Veterans out there who have given their time and loyalty to supporting their country!

Thank you for your service!!!

Upcoming Special Events

Mark your calendars for our Thanksgiving week schedule (all other classes are happening as normal!):

Friday, November 17th, 11:30am-12:30pm
All-School Stop Drop and Dance-a-thon Fundraiser
@Glenwood Elementary School

Past, present and future families of Glenwood Elementary, please join us for this dance-a-thon with all the students, teachers, and parents in the gym! Last year in November, we did a Glenwood Elementary dance fundraiser on a Sunday morning with hosts Ashley Walter and Sunny St. Germain, and raised $1225 for the school. This year, we are leveling up and teaching the ENTIRE school to raise even more money!

Wear your GOLD Shine Your Light tank if you have it!

Thursday, November 23rd, 9:30am-10:45am
75 Minute Thanksgiving Stop Drop and Dance Class
***and HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY ARIANA AMINI!***

@UU Marin (240 Channing Way, San Rafael)

Join us for this annual tradition of dancing together before our long weekend of feasts and festivities, and this year we are celebrating Ariana's BIG 5-0 with some of her sisters! This is a perfect opportunity to bring a new friend or come if you're normally working on Thursday mornings!

Wear any Thanksgiving colors (yellow, orange, maroon, etc).

NO CLASS Saturday, November 25th!

I will be spending the long weekend with my parents and sisters' family in the South Bay.  Classes will resume as normal on Tuesday, November 28th and previous recorded classes will be available on-demand during this time!  Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

Our trucker hats have arrived!

Thank you to everyone who has already purchased our newest apparel:

Our Power With Grace + Tommy Breeze COLLAB hats!

I was THRILLED when Tommy let me know our hats were done early, so last Friday I drove to his studio in Fairfax to pick them up. What an inspirational guy who simply started playing with art and patches while working at an art store and now has been in business for only 5 years! There is no doubt he is going to get bigger and bigger and I'm grateful to Laura Williams and Sara Rainbolt for first introducing his hats to me!

Check out his website at www.tommybreeze.com

We only have 6 rose, 7 seafoam and 2 peach caps left for sale (plenty of black!), so make sure to order yours as soon as possible before they sell out!

Thank you to Sara Rainbolt, Ariana Amini, Orna Weisberg, and my parents for being the first ones to post pictures wearing their new hats!!! Please tag @thepowerwithgrace if you post a picture on social media!

Choose local pick up to save on shipping if you can drive by San Rafael or come to class in-person!

Today is World Kindness Day!

These are only a few examples of kind acts I have witnessed and experienced among this beautiful Power With Grace community:

Kindness is making personalized ornaments.
Kindness is baking homemade cookies.
Kindness is writing a thank you card.
Kindness is visiting with friends.
Kindness is providing a meal for a family.
Kindness is opening your home for a gathering.
Kindness is secretly organizing a group gift.
Kindness is celebrating someone's birthday.
Kindness is dressing up when you normally don't.
Kindness is getting out of your comfort zone for a friend.
Kindness is saving a hummingbird's life.
Kindness is a genuine smile, handshake or hug.
Kindness is introducing yourself to a new person.
Kindness is sending an encouraging email.
Kindness is raising money for a charity.
Kindness is reaching out to anyone who is in trouble.
Kindness is a spontaneous purchase that made you think of someone.
Kindness is going to support someone's celebration, game, or performance.
Kindness is telling someone you are sorry.
Kindness is reading this newsletter week after week and supporting one girl's dream to make the world a kinder, happier place.

"The world is full of kind people.
If you can't find one, be one."

Love,
Grace
