No Class This Saturday, July 1st
Our next class will be on Tuesday, July 4th at UU Marin Church (240 Channing Way, San Rafael) at 9:30am for a 75 minute double birthday Stop Drop and Dance class for Erin Meyers and Jen Gonzalez!
Both Erin and Jen are actual Independence Day babies, so please wear red, white, and blue to join in our festive holiday class! Remember, kids are always free with a dancing parent, and this class is a great opportunity to invite a new friend to join as well!
All new students get a BOGO deal (second class free)!
Bloom Marin Clothing Fundraiser on July 4th
For their birthday wish, Erin and Jen are collecting new or gently-used boys (ages 5-18) sporty clothes (cool tees, athletic shorts, sweats/joggers) for Bloom, a local non-profit YWCA organization. They are in very low supply. Women and men’s clothing gladly accepted too. Only Spring or Summer clothing please, due to space limits. Erin will have bins at the July 4th class or happy to accept at any other time. Thank you!
About Bloom
Bloom provides complimentary wardrobes to children, women, and men who are transitioning to a life of self‐reliance. Their clients are low income or working poor populations referred by supporting social services agencies. The population served includes participants in substance abuse recovery programs, victims of spousal abuse, as well as others who are homeless, jobless, or suffering from economic hardship. Bloom is the only non-profit in the United States to provide wardrobes for the entire family at no fee to the client. Their fabulous consignment shop located at 1557 Fourth Street in San Rafael is open to the public, and helps fund this amazing program. Happy Birthday Sara Rainbolt!
Last Thursday, we celebrated Sara Rainbolt's birthday with a 75 minute Stop Drop and Dance class.
Since we were at Skate Escape in Northgate Mall for the week, she picked the perfect theme: roller girl outfits! In addition, Sara brought disco ball necklaces, light up bracelets and star/heart sunglasses for everyone!
Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Sara, especially an extra unexpected surprise visit from her husband, Eric and son, Rex!
All in-person memberships and live classes will be paused for one month from July 17th - August 16th.
My family and I will be joining our school delegation to South Africa, where we will volunteer to teach Stop Drop and Dance classes! Online content including previously-live recordings and on-demand classes will be available for free for current members!
Our regular schedule will resume beginning on Thursday, August 17th at 9:30am for Stop Drop and Dance!
