Dear Friends,

‍

LAST DAY TO REGISTER!

‍

Our Stinson Beach Dance Party in collaboration with Lisa Butcher's 50th Birthday is less than 2 weeks away, and we are finalizing numbers for our silent disco headset order on MONDAY!

Lisa is one of our most loyal dancers who has showed up through it all: wearing masks, backyard decks, outdoor parking lots, cement garages, dancing in pouring rain, and dressing up in all sorts of outfits. She is also the queen of our dance bloopers and brings so much laughter and joy to our community in the best ways.

Even if you don't know Lisa, you are invited to join us on the beach and you will LOVE Lisa by the end of the evening!

‍

‍

Thank you to our superhost, Karen Wright, for opening up her home for us to dance in her backyard (aka, Stinson Beach, but away from the crowds)!

‍

If you have already signed up, expect to receive an email next week with all the details including Karen's home address, what to bring, and our itinerary! Please plan on carpooling since close street parking is very limited.

SIGN UP BY THE END OF TOMORROW, MONDAY, OCTOBER 12TH!

Our Next Fundraiser Class

Please save the date for our next Stop Drop and Dance fundraiser class on Tuesday, October 27th from 9:30am-10:45am!  Bonnie Kirkpatrick is turning 60 years old, and for her birthday celebration, she wanted to give back to a non-profit organization that she used to work at, and is now on the Board of!

"The mission of Bridge the Gap is to provide comprehensive educational, social and emotional resources to underserved students in Marin County. Our goal is to ensure that all students graduate high school and achieve their greatest potential through college completion or other pathways to economic sustainability and independence. Our vision is for all students to achieve their greatest potential with equitable access, opportunities, and choice."

The theme will be to wear a school or college tee shirt! Even if you cannot make the dance class, please consider supporting Bonnie's fundraiser and helping us make an impact for students in our county! Thank you for your generosity!

Happy 60th Birthday Bonnie!

SHADY LADIES Birthday Party!

We soaked up the last day of our Bay Area heat wave last Thursday by dancing KRAZY in all styles of kooky, cute, and cool sunglasses for Pamela Flores and Kim Lewis!

It was a sweaty 65 minutes of Pam and Kim's curated Stop Drop and Dance playlist! Erin Meyers brought a beach backdrop and Pam made carrot cake cupcakes topped with smiley sunglass faces! Thank you to everyone who came and especially to our birthday gals for cleaning up everything and being the last to leave!

Happiest Birthdays Pam and Kim!

Looking For Custom Experiences and Retreats?

Did you know that we can help you host a custom event?

Last weekend we had the honor of dancing on a warm, sunny day in Tiburon for Hannah Price's 3rd baby shower! The theme was 80s Flower Child and of course we finished the class with "Baby" by Justin Bieber and Ludacris!

Then this past Friday, we hosted a 6th Grade Mark Day Moms day retreat at UUMarin to help kickstart middle school together! The activities included meditation, journaling, small group and partner discussions, a gentle yoga class, and a taco bar lunch buffet!

We love creating rich, meaningful, and memorable experiences that build connections and help you all grow closer!

Whether you're looking for a high-energy dance class to raise $$$ for your child's school, a gentle yoga class for an all-levels corporate retreat, or a partner strength class for moms and daughters, we offer movement based activities in addition to guided meditation, journaling, or thoughtful small-group conversations to emphasize growth and reflection.

Reach out to create something special!

‍

‍

NO CLASS THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17th!

I am so excited to take my annual girls' trip with six of my junior high and high school besties this upcoming weekend.

Every year, we have traveled to a new state together, and this year, we will be traveling to Sun Valley, Idaho (because so many of you have raved about it)! Please mark your calendars that class is cancelled on Saturday, October 17th!

Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 20th.

Dancers in the Wild!

Top Left and Middle: Leslie Dinham, Elizabeth Valosek, and Grace went to watch Barbara Roberts' in her incredible play at College of Marin, "Defying Gravity." It is playing for another week and tickets are free. The story is so deep, powerful, emotional, creative, and brilliant. We highly recommend you go see it!

Top Right: Karin Conn and Katherine Chan were spotted in Book Passage Corte Madera together! FYI for those that don't know, the easiest way to remember how to pronounce Karin is to think "Marin with a K!"

Bottom Left: Sara Rainbolt and Lisa Butcher went to dance in the morning and then supported their sons at a water polo match in the afternoon! Congratulations to Archie for the win!

Middle Right: Myia Silkaitis and Grace volunteered together at their school Snack Shack and ended up meeting Laura Briggs' mutual friend, Devon Fischer, about their daughters being bit by rattlesnakes during a 5th grade outdoor education trip! WOAH.

Bottom Right: After hearing about the awful news that a local San Anselmo elementary school was vandalized last weekend with hatred aimed towards Jewish people, Kathy Green, Erin Meyers, Pamela Flores, Suneela Jain, Kristen Sperling, Allyson Josephs, Alison Williams, Amy Poirier, and her daughters Abigail and Michelle, gathered on Tuesday evening at Brookside to show solidarity for the Jewish community!

"No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."

- Nelson Mandela

I'm so grateful to be a part of a community that does not stand for any kind of hate or discrimination.

We all belong.

We all matter.

We all deserve respect.

Thank you for showing me a reality where love leads and LOVE WINS! Keep spreading your kindness and joy!

Have a wonderful week!

Grace
