Our New Location @UUMarin!
Starting TOMORROW, our WEEKDAY classes will be at the beautiful Fellowship Hall at UU Marin (Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marin) at 240 Channing Way in San Rafael. With 3 walls of windows and high ceilings, this space is filled with light and positive energy. There is plenty of parking and drumroll please... we have a bathroom! Woohoo!
(Saturdays will continue to be at "The Garage" at 1 Thorndale Drive in San Rafael... with NO bathroom. Please remember to drive really slowly past the retirement home complex - thank you!)

Hello, Sunshine!
I just returned from a week of vacation in Southern California with my family. We started off in Anaheim visiting Disneyland and California Adventure, followed by Legoland in Carlsbad, and finished the week swimming and relaxing in La Jolla. We drove the 8 hours home late yesterday on the 4th of July with the last half hour perfectly timed as everyone was setting off their fireworks.
Traditionally in Chinese culture, fireworks symbolized warding off evil spirits and bringing in good luck and happiness. Today, seeing the fireworks on our drive reminded me of how far we have come from last summer, and how close we are to finding complete freedom from Covid-19. We, Americans, are so lucky to be the first to become vaccinated, and I can't wait for my girls to get their turn so they can finally take off their masks too.
Freedom to travel, freedom to gather, freedom of choice... good and bad, our freedom is a gift.
