Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

December 22, 2025

Dear Friends,

May you never be too busy...

to be kind to others

to see the beauty around you

to spend time with your loved ones

to make time for yourself

to help others

and to always appreciate and enjoy life!

It has been a whirlwind these past 3 weeks right after Thanksgiving weekend.  If you have been like me, there have been endless to-do's, from holiday cards to holiday parties, to gifts and work obligations, to dealing with unexpected, annoying problems like something breaking down... of course, everything happens all at once!

As we enter these next 2 weeks:

May you find JOY in all the busyness

May you CHERISH the loved ones in your life

May you prioritize REST and slow down

May you REMEMBER the meaning of the holidays

And may you CELEBRATE all the blessings in your life.

Congratulations to Marsha Cellar on welcoming her new baby granddaughter, Celeste!

Highlights from this week!

We have had a few special events this past week starting with a Pop Up Radiant Sea Studio Shop after class on Tuesday!  One of our dance members, Catherine Granville, hand makes all her beautiful jewelry using shells she finds from nature. Thank you to all the dancers who bought something and supported her small business!

Then on Saturday, we dressed up in our most outrageous holiday sweaters, skirts, and socks to celebrate Sandy Aley's birthday!  It has become a tradition for the past few years that her whole family comes to dance, and even friends from her church small group join too!  Thank you to Erin Meyers for bringing Christmas lights for our backdrop, and thank you to Sandy for being the thoughtful person she is because she helped to organize our clean up sign up genius after every class!  It has been a huge help and I am grateful!

Happiest birthday also goes to my best friend, Karen Shen, who joined virtually on Zoom on Saturday to dance for her actual birthday, and I was able to see her later that evening for her birthday festivities!

I hope to see you TOMORROW, Tuesday, December 23rd at 9:30am - 10:45am for one more Stop Drop and Dance class before our holiday break!

Please note there will be no classes from Wednesday, December 24th through Saturday, December 27th!  All classes are recorded and available on-demand on our website!

Let's have a celebration!

On Monday evenings, my older daughter goes to a youth group for 6th-12th graders at our church, and during the same time, there is also a fellowship group for some of the parents.

Last week, one of our leaders, Theresa Chang, asked if I would come and teach the "Celebration" dance by Forrest Frank to the parents, and then we would flash mob our middle and high school kids at the end of the night.

Ugly sweaters? Embarrasing our kids? DANCING???

How could I resist?  Of course I said YES!

These parents only had 30 minutes to learn the dance, but I was so proud of them.  None of them really danced before and they were skeptical that they could learn the moves (so was I to be honest...).  BUT, their hearts were so committed to the purpose and it was such a fun bonding experience for us all.

We snuck down to the youth house at the end of the night, and the teens were sitting in a circle finishing their White Elephant Gift Exchange.  If you would like to see a clip of our dance, please click on the image below.  I hope you can feel the genuine joy us parents had (and the youth pastor who you see entering the video at the end), and let me tell you...

The faces on the kids were priceless... pure shock.  HAHAHA!

Let's be the light that keeps spreading joy everywhere around us!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Love,

Grace
