Dear Friends,

Happy World Cup Birthday Erin Meyers!

Well, my family and I just finished watching the USA soccer match against Belgium tonight, and... ouch, that was a tough way to end their incredible run.  Nevertheless, thank you to the US Men's Soccer Team for making us proud and getting this far!  Go USA!

Last Thursday, we celebrated one of our Fourth of July babies, Erin Meyers, with a World Cup themed Stop Drop and Dance class! Thank you to everyone who came to dance with Erin wearing different team jerseys and country colors, and to Sara Rainbolt and Sandy Aley for coming early to decorate!

Erin is a huge part of our community who is often behind-the-scenes organizing our community gatherings, helping to set up for our events, or planning meal trains for dancers in need. She is extremely thoughtful as shown by her effort to bring backdrop decorations every time there is a special celebration for someone in class (including her own birthday). Most of all, Erin is welcoming to everyone in class and always extends a friendly smile and conversation with dancers around her.

We scored a GOAL having Erin as part of our dance family!

Happy Neon Birthdays Anna Carr and Jen Gonzalez!

Last Tuesday, we celebrated another Stop Drop and Dance birthday class on Anna Carr's actual birthday, June 30th, and for our other Fourth of July baby, Jen Gonzalez!

Thank you to everyone who was able to dance in-person or on Zoom, especially our special guest, Anna’s husband, Brandon!  This is the second time year that Brandon has joined us and he has got the moves!

The theme was NEON because of Anna and Jen's Carnaval Parade costumes from last month, and they wore their arm and leg feathers along with their dance teammates Sharon Mor and Heather Moore.  They also brought neon hair extension clips for everyone!

Thank you for shaking your feathers with us Anna and Jen!

Better Together

On my off days when I don't teach, such as today, I still make sure to get in my 10,000 steps and do a short strength training session with heavy weights in my garage (or take a previously-live Strength & Stretch recording!).

This morning, as I was doing some 1 minute cardio intervals, I had a distinct moment where I realized how boring and lonely it was to be in my garage by myself laboring away with high knee jogs!

We have our regular class schedule for the next 3 weeks, and if you are in town, please drop in to class and say hello!

Dancing in person together with all of you is a guaranteed mood lifter, and boy is it SO much more fun than high knee jogs!

Love,

Grace
