Dear Friends,
Happy Sparkly Fireworks Birthdays!
Last Tuesday was the best way to kick off the month of July, with a birthday Stop Drop and Dance class for Anna Carr, Erin Meyers and Jen Gonzalez! We had the special treat of meeting Anna's entire family, including her husband Brandon, and kids Simone and Holden, and Jen also brought her husband Frank and daughter Lyla to dance with us!
We all dressed in the theme of "Sparkle Like Fireworks" and Erin brought bedazzled sunglasses, headbands and accessories for everyone in class. Thank you also to Sara Rainbolt and Sandy Aley for coming early to decorate our backdrop!
Baby, you're a firework!

Life Isn't Fair
The previous week was a tough one for me, as jetlag ended up triggering a debilitating 3-day migraine that left me with sleepless nights, dizziness and nausea. As I suffered with my own problems, it's strange to verbalize, but what gave me strength was reminding myself that everyone around me has problems they are dealing with too. We are all hurting in some way.
There's physical pain like mine such as injuries and worse like cancer.
There's mental pain like depression and unhappiness.
There's financial worry from finding jobs to paying bills.
There's political stress that now has lead to people fearing deportation.
There's small but annoying issues like our toilet breaking or a car battery dying.
And then there's real tragedy...
Like this absolutely horrendous flood in Texas that I know several of you are directly linked to and suffering from.
Life is just HARD.
But despite it all, we must never give up.
Perspective helps us continue to count blessings.
Community reminds us we are never ever truly alone.
A positive mindset is always a choice we get to make.
Hope is alive and will get us through our hardest times.
"No matter what life throws your way, no matter how unfair it may seem, refuse to play the victim. Refuse to be ruled by fear, pessimism, and negativity. Refuse to quit.
Be a warrior and work through whatever life throws your way with courage, love, and positivity. And continually push forward.
Because you are a survivor of the unfairness of life. You are stronger than you think. And you are capable of achieving far more than you believe.
