A Character Shirt??
Funny timing... during this past Saturday morning's Stop Drop and Dance class, I announced about coming to next Saturday's birthday class for Laura Tollen and Lena Shagoury, and to dress up in their creative "character" shirt theme, all while thinking to myself...
"What in the world am I going to wear next week?"
Later that same afternoon, my older daughter and I happened to stop by Target, and to my surprise, there was an entire 3-column shelf section dedicated to "Character Tees."
I guess it's a thing now!
There were modern day characters like Marvel or Star Wars or Little Mermaid, but then there were old school characters like Hello Kitty, Strawberry Shortcake, and Winnie the Pooh!
So... if you need a character tee for Saturday... just saying, Target has what you need =)

Baby, You're a Firework!
Last Tuesday on the Fourth of July, we got to celebrate Jen Gonzalez and Erin Meyers' birthdays with a festive red, white and blue 75 minute Stop Drop and Dance class!
Thank you to Erin and her daughter, Elle, for bringing decorations, leis, headbands and treats for everyone, and thank you to Jen's entire family, including her husband, Frank, and kids, Lyla and Mason, for getting out of their comfort zones and dancing together with us the ENTIRE time!
Thank you also for all the generous Bloom Marin clothing donations!
Erin wore the perfect shirt that day. It said, "Baby, You're a Firework," from Katy Perry's popular "Firework" song. We all know the song and we've heard the tune many times. But it wasn't until that night after our birthday class that I really looked into the lyrics:
