It Was a Masked Christmas
Oh yes, it was a Christmas pajama party last Thursday in class! We showed up in our flannel prints, Santa hats, and Will Ferrell Elf attire, and officially brought out those face masks again.
And we found the perfect new song to dance to.
"It Was A... (Masked Christmas)" by Jimmy Fallon, Ariana Grande, and Megan Thee Stallion, premiered on The Tonight Show on December 6th and the lyrics promote getting booster shots and wearing masks. Since we all agree with the message, why not make a dance to this pandemic perfect Christmas song?

This past weekend, my family slept over again at my parent's house, along with my sister's family. The two son-in-laws cooked Christmas Eve dinner. My sister led family walks outside each morning. My girls and nieces created a scavenger hunt for everyone.
And on Christmas morning, after my girls woke me up in excitement, they sorted their presents and we turned on Christmas music for the background.
But guess what song came on?
"It Was A... (Masked Christmas)" of course! Immediately, that was my cue to jump up and start dancing. And you know who else takes my classes and knows my dances, right?
My parents. My sister. My nieces. My girls.
We couldn't open presents until we danced the whole song. Twice.
At that moment, my already very Merry Christmas just became that much more merrier.
