Honor our Breast Cancer Warriors Saturday!
Please join us this Saturday, October 3rd from 9:30am-10:30am at UUMarin (240 Channing Way in San Rafael) as we support our 7th annual (and 9th total) Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) Stop Drop and Dance fundraiser class, hosted by Lisa Hudson!
BOARDING FOR BREAST CANCER (B4BC) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit foundation founded in 1996. Their mission is triple focused to:
1) Prepare young people with education on early detection.
2) Promote the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention.
3) Provide survivor support for those affected by breast cancer.
If you are a breast cancer warrior, we would love to honor you during class. Please choose the "Free Class for Breast Cancer Survivors" option at the ticket checkout.
Even if you cannot make the dance class, all donations are greatly appreciated! Donors will receive an on-demand recording of our special class afterwards, so you can dance from home at your convenience!

$26,000 for Saint Isabella School!
Last Friday was our 5th annual Stop Drop and Dance-a-Thon at Saint Isabella School and cumulatively we have raised over $110,000 for their K-8 student programs!!! The students, staff, teachers, and even parents, participated in the 45 minute class. After our sweaty fun, the kids got popsicles!
Thank you to Kim Colombo for organizing the collaboration on behalf of Saint Isabella School and thank you to Lisa Butcher and the 6th and 8th graders pictured above for being backup dancers!

Shimmy Dribble Like Rylee
This past weekend, I had to cancel class on Saturday because my younger daughter had a soccer tournament in Reno, which required us to leave Friday afternoon and stay the entire weekend.
We had our team dinner Saturday night at the very nostalgic Circus Circus midway where I spent every Christmas during my entire childhood. I have fond memories of skiing at Northstar, eating buffet dinners, and then playing carnival games that cost only a quarter per play. Honestly, everything looked exactly the same... except for the prices of course!
My daughter has been on this competitive club soccer team for 5 years now, and even though they always qualify in the top level brackets, they never end up winning any tournaments. But this past weekend, they went undefeated despite playing one year up with older girls, and won the tournament!
I am thrilled for her and her teammates, but mostly, win or lose, I am so grateful I got to spend time with her this past weekend watching her do what she loves.
I am cherishing each precious moment that arises.
There are no repeats in life...
